Houston, I’m home! After 40 days of hopping around, my travel bug is thoroughly satisfied. My time away was AMAZING and transformative to say the least. So much so, I made a pact with myself to spend a month exploring every year. I met some great people, did some cool things, ate delicious food, and absorbed some culture.
As I mentioned in my previous post 40 Days Away: Upcoming Travel Plans & Scavenger Hunt, to hold myself accountable for actually taking photos I decided to do a scavenger hunt for sights in each place I visited. I generally don’t see a reason to snap photos constantly. I like to be in the moment. However, I’ve been wanting to improve my photography skills (with my phone and Nikon). Here is the list and corresponding photo:
Baltimore – Domino Sugar Sign
DC (Day Trip)– GW Monument
Philly (Day Trip)– LOVE Sculpture
NYC (Day Trip)– The Oculus / Hope Sculpture
Chicago – Cloud Gate
Vancouver – Mountain Scape
LA – Hollywood Sign
Puerta Plata, DR
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get my Dallas sight because of a flight delay cutting my time short. I also didn’t get Mount Isabel de Torres in Puerta Plata because…well…I spent 98% of my time in DR bumming on the beach and I don’t regret one minute of it.
